About

Take part in the Heart of Kent Walking Festival 2025 with this family friendly walk along the Greensand Way, with a stop at Buttercups Sanctuary for Goats!

Buttercups and Daisies: It was a popular and much enjoyed walk for the past two years of the festival, so let’s do it again. A leisurely paced family friendly walk for wellbeing, in part along The Greensand Way full of stories, folklore, legends and myths about the trees, flora and the fauna we find while out walking in this beautiful and scenic area of Kent, plus a few foraging tips and a free special nature born gift to take home to soothe your feet when you get home, if available.

On route, we will get to see the amazing and inspiring views of the Weald of Kent and beyond, and the many deer’s prancing and dancing in the grounds of Boughton Monchelsea Place.

… but there’s more, this walk also includes an extended lunch stop at Buttercups Sanctuary for Goats, every one of them just adorable.
There is no set fee for entry to Buttercups but a donation of £5 per person is suggested.
This will be payable on arrival on the day by participants.
Refreshments and gifts can also be purchased, and these goats like to be spoilt, so bags of food are available to purchase for too.
