Experience the beauty of Hush Heath Estate, the home of Balfour Winery, and explore the vines, orchards and woodland and see and learn about the flora and fauna of the site with this guided tour as part of the Heart of Kent Walking Festival 2025.

Hush Heath Estate is the home of Balfour Winery, one of the largest and most well-respected wineries in England.

This beautiful private Tudor Estate in the heart of Kent comprises 400-acres of manicured vineyards, apple orchards, wildflower meadows and ancient oak woodland. Sustainability and conservation are of paramount importance and reflected in the practices used across the Estate. The walking route will take you between the vines, through the orchards and under the dappled shade of the woodland.

Hush Heath Estate is a living, breathing showcase of some of Kent’s finest flora and fauna. Barn owls, fallow deer and buzzards amongst other indigenous insects and animals have all made their home in the ancient oak woodlands and wildflower meadows on the Estate. A private estate with no public footpaths, we welcome guests to come and experience the beauty and views and spectacular scenery on a very special walk.
