    Cobtree Manor Park is a delightful place to visit. It is particularly popular with younger members of the family as there is an expansive range of play equipment which covers a variety of ages. Located on the site of the old Maidstone Zoo it also has a great history and interesting stories to tell, and why you will still find the elephant house and the llama house on the site.

    Teston comprises three meadows nestling beside the River Medway. This is an ideal location to watch boats cruising or to fish. With a picnic area, new children's play area and easy access routes this Country Park is a great day out - naturally.

    The path was opened in 1978 and most of it is within easy reach of London. The good transport links to many of the sections make it the perfect location for day walks and you can take in the distance a bit at a time in easy stages.

  7. Bluebells at the Hucking Estate, The Woodland Trust
    This beautiful ancient woodland sits on top of the North Downs and has one of the most spectacular bluebell walks that can be found anywhere in England. It is certainly in the top five of the whole of the Woodland Trusts bluebell walk woods. However, it more than that, it is a wildlife haven and hosts a good number of different species. It also has spectacular walks which are great during any season and it from about 1.5km to 5km depending on the route you take. Discover the living log and many other enchanting wooden sculptures along the way. Along the way you will find seats and resting points where you can just enjoy the peace of the countryside.

  9. Waterside on the River Medway is The Old Boat Café, which is a delightful stop on this linear route along the tow path.
    Maidstone River Park was one of a lasting legacy of projects, funded in part by the National Lottery to celebrate the new Millennium. The park is a 12km walk along the River Medway from Teston Country Park through Maidstone’s town centre, to Allington and Kent Life.
