This Art of Mine offers a variety of courses to experience new activities or to develop skills you already have.  Pottery painting is very popular and each season brings its own unique classes with different subjects.  Christmas brings opportunities to make felt house elves and fresh foliage wreaths, and in June  you may be making bouquets of peonies picked from the garden. Silver clay workshops, potting with a wheel and indeed many other activities are very enjoyable in a fantastic environment.

The Pottery Barn at Aylesford Priory offers pottery courses with professional commercial potters, helping you develop the skills you need to create and fire your own creations.

The Riverside Arts Centre at Yalding is only open during the summer season. Nestled on the bank of the River Medway between the post office and the medieval bridge, a variety of interesting local sculpture and paintings are usually on display.

For family fun Teapot Island offers pottery painting.  During the summer another place to keep an eye on is The Old Boat Café moored between the two bridges in Maidstone town centre. You may find musicians practicing there and this makes for an impromtu concert on the waterside, and all one needs to do is enjoy it. Story telling mornings and  canalware painting workshops sometimes take place, so it's well worth keeping an eye on.

During the school holiday a host of craft workshops are organised for children at Maidstone Museum, a often themed according to the summer exhibition.
