The Augustine Camino Pilgrimage Trail follows a route through the beautiful North Downs countryside. Taking in 70 miles of chalk downland, by passing, historic castles and standing stones, villages, hamlets, glorious wild flowers, woodlands and view points. The route starts at Rochester Cathedral, travels north of Maidstone and on to Canterbury, finishing in at Pugin's Gothic Revival materpiece of St Augustine's in Ramsgate. There are many lovely churches on the North Downs and you can choose to camp, stay in pubs or even stay in the Medieval Priory at Aylesford.
The whole route usually takes seven days to complete but you can also do this walk in sections.
