We start our journey at Sevenoaks Train Station and walk to Knole, a historic estate brimming with wildlife, panoramic views, and rich local heritage. As we step into Knole, we'll be greeted by its resident fallow deer, which have roamed freely here since the park was enclosed in the 15th century. With over 400 resident deers this is a great photo opportunity.
At the heart of Knole Park lies Knole House, a stunning 600-year-old estate that’s both a National Trust treasure and a landmark of Tudor and Jacobean architecture. Once home to the Sackville family, it was famously depicted in Virginia Woolf’s Orlando.
Our path then leads us onto the Greensand Way, where we’ll pause to take in sweeping views over the Weald—a landscape of ancient woodlands and farmland stretching across the horizon.
The loop back into Knole allows us another glimpse of the deer and woodland beauty as we close out this immersive blend of history, nature, and timeless landscapes. Join us for an unforgettable walk that merges past and present, beauty and tranquility.
