Here are a few ideas I have used for corporate events and team days out, all work but there are lots of other options in Maidstone besides these.
Mote Park
Mote Park is one of those places where this can happen and a family can be entertained for the whole day, as well as having a couple of hours catch up for those employed.
Firstly, there is Maidstone Leisure Centre, which is a great place for about 350 people to get together and the sports hall lends itself easily to tables, chairs and awards. Meanwhile families can happily play in the park immediately next to it. For the smaller children there is an exciting play park and for those needing a bit more of a challenge there is Mote Park Outdoor Adventure. Here there are high rope challenges, a climbing wall, segways and adventure golf. Families can be entertained no matter what their age or skills.
If you are looking for a bit of cheering and team supporting alongside fun then a family day at Mote Park Water Sports Centre is a great place to go. The bell boating is an exciting, entertaining and fun thing to do. It’s much like dragon boating but without the dragon heads and tails. Much cheering and camaraderie goes on within the team and the competing teams to win. This worked very well for a charity fund raiser too.
If you don’t want to do the teams and competition type of event then there is an option for families to try SUP, canoeing, sailing, rowing and pedalo’s.
Families can bring picnics or catering can be bought in for corporate events. Whatever happens it makes a very memorable day out. The good thing about Mote Park is that there is something everyone can enjoy, no matter your age or physical ability, making this a very inclusive choice. There is a café in the park where you can get food, drink and ice creams.
Go Ape at Leeds Castle
Go Ape at Leeds Castle makes a great corporate and family day out. Taking the Tree Top Challenge is definitely exciting with its zip wires over 250 metres across the valley as well and in addition there is the Treetop Adventure Plus with more wobble, more height and a faster zip wire! Luckily for the under 10’s there is the Tree Top Adventure which is very family orientated and suitable for anyone over 1 metre tall.
If you need to feed everyone at the end of the day the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel is around the corner and has the biggest hospitality room in Kent.
Lockmeadow Entertainment Complex
Lockmeadow Entertainment Complex offers cinemas which can be hired for corporate presentations and employees can join families to enjoy trampolining, urban adventure golf or 10 pin bowling at Hollywood Bowl. This is all indoor, so can be booked at any time of the year. Catering is easy to obtain from Love Food where an area can be separated for corporate groups.
For Teams and smaller groups
Our team found this a particularly good day out, exploring. The electric bike tours allow you to follow or discover routes finding our way through the Kent countryside along quiet lanes, enjoying a pub lunch. Its outside its healthy and it makes you use a variety of skills to find your way. Most people can ride a bike but the electric bikes make it a bit easier for everyone. Always surprising how much everyone loves a vineyard stop!
Balfour Winery and Vineyard tours are a great choice, with tastings and lunch platters. Gorgeous juices and ciders ensure those who don’t drink wine equally have a wonderful day. If it’s a family day then you would need to bring in children’s entertainment.
If you are in need of a huge corporate event then the Kent Event Centre has the capacity you need and is able to bring in everything you need, apart from a lake.
Yep! Maidstone has lots of options worth exploring.
